Used Two Guys and a Truck . Called them up the morning of my move as the mover I had scheduled tried to defraud me by asking me to sign a bunch of waivers and pay them up front in cash for the move before they started the job.
I used the Largo, FL based branch of Two Guys and a Truck. Two guys showed up with a truck (duh) right on time. Swiftly went through very very basic limited paperwork and did a quick inventory with us. Move went along great. Exercised extreme caution in wrapping and protecting our furniture. Used same caution to load and unload at the destination. They moved only the furniture of our 4 bedroom house. I would say they took a little longer than your typical movers (maybe 15% longer), but I don't mind paying an extra $120 for peace of mind. As it turns out, this company does stand behind their motto that they will fix or replace any damages to the customer's satisfaction. They way they do it is by being careful with your possessions so they don't break, damage or loose anything. Now who wouldn't pay a bit extra for that?!
After the furniture was unwrapped we carefully inspected anything and there was NO damage whatsoever. Excellent work.
When they finished I even had them unload a large PODS full of boxes, which I already had delivered to my new house. Did so again swiftly and carefully and for a couple of hours worth of work spared me from using up all my time for weeks to unload that monster PODS.
Great service, very courteous and friendly movers. It was just the two of them so the job went slower than if a crew of three or four did the job. As a result the total cost was higher (hourly fee was similar to other companies). But I'm not complaining because I'd rather have that insurance guarantee and not have to worry about movers working too fast and carelessly.
