GameFly
By John Robertson, 2010-05-06
So if you're like me you dropped a huge portion of your paycheck to finally, finally get that Wii that you've been lusting after for months now. You scrimped and ate peanut butter and mac and cheese and lived like a hermit for the past couple months and your car was running on fumes and you weren't exactly paying down that huge balance on your credit card. And now that you've got the Wii there's a painfully ironic little problem: you can't afford to buy games for this wonderful new system.
Rather than continuing to live this way, my friends and confidants, do what I did: go over to gamefly.com and get yourself signed up on the 2 game plan for about 23 bucks per month (that's less than a tank of gas, you can do that) and try out all the games that the game makers *want* you to drop 60 bucks on. About the service: it's just like NetFlix. You go through the site and check out all that's available (good selection, I must say), and put your choices in the Q, and they'll ship 'em out to you two at a time. The service is pretty fast and painless, and the games arrive in mint condition (from what I've seen so far). And as you play these shiny new games on your shiny new console, you can yell out, "I'm a smart gamer and I'm special!" and then you can dance naked around your apartment.
