I store just about everything in my Pelican 1620 and take either the whole case or a 1510 depending on my needs for a job. After years (and I do mean many years) of solid use the 1620 wheels started to sqeek horribly and got very difficult to pull.

I recently contacted customer service letting them know I probably needed new wheel assemblies and axles and they had two new ones to my door in about 3 days. They even sent new wheels for my 1510 just in case!

To get my old wheels off I had to to pry off the polymer coating, and drill through the plastic. When I got inside I had found that all of the bearings had rusted and pretty much exploded leaving all of the small balls grinding away inside. From there it was easy to tap out the old rod, and fit my new wheels in. Now it's rolling like a champ!

Pelican offers not just good quality cases, but excellent customer service to keep me loyal. I wouldn't write here otherwise.
